Wald Honda Accord CM2 wagon

After the loss of my S2000 the replacement Accord wagon has some what eased the pain and is continuing to impress as an effortless cruiser.The inside is great place to be with comfortable seats and all the electrical gadgets you could ever need. Unfortunately the outside isn’t that special to look at, so I thought i would see what is available on the market. Mugen was the first stop but they only offer items for the saloon which would limit the wagon to a replacement front bumper/ grill combo.
I then came across Wald international who had developed an aero kit specific for the wagon and i can say i am impressed! from mundane family hack to JDM VIP hearse check it out.

Well as i am looking to buy a Ek9  what better way than with a couple of type R experts (Livvy and Paul) start a new forum devoted to the marque.
I have never done anything like this before, so if this car floats your boat please visit the site and more importantly take part in its creation.

Goodbye smurf

Yesterday i waved a sad farewell to my S2000 which has moved aside for the  more sensible option of a 2006 Accord EX I-CTDI estate for my wife Jo.

However all is not lost as i need some wheels for myself so the hunt beings for a………………..EK9 Civic type R watch this space for further updates of how this develops.

Race base on its way

As promised one race base EK9 typeR waiting to make the trip to its new owners in the UK. Apparently the TE37 are coming off and tin rims are going back on…………

Livvy and Paul honda heaven

Livvy and Paul are the  ones who really got me excited on Hondas and they sourced me various bits included the mugen kit for my civic, their devotion to the marque is truly astounding . In the few short years i have known them  they have  3 EP3 civic type R’s one being a rare AE30 edition and  2 DC5′s one in blue and championship white running various different colored recaro combinations to keep them happy for a short while.

Things changed after the DC5′s with Paul deciding  old school was the way to go with dare to be different Phoenix yellow JDM DC2 integra type R sourced from japan. This was lavished with my favorite wheel of all time the drool at the mouth bronze mugen MF10 and a spoon carbon front spoiler to name but a few of the mods.In my opinion this was nearly my perfect car apart from it not having the ultra rare  option of the oh so marmite love them or hate them yellow recaro seats.

The lure or what some people say is a real drivers car/hard core race car with number plates the import only EK9 type R got the better of the pair. This lead to livvy spending many a night scouring the Japanese auction sights in pursuit of a example worthy of ownership.

A rare phoenix yellow EK9 RX  (scream initial D) was found rather than the run of the mill but still sexy as hell championship white version. This was imported by slow boat to the UK.

This again to me was perfect example of the model which was given the full Paul  TLC package with choice mods but this soon replaced by an also  hard to come by silver EK9 for Livvy to use as a daily driver which she is busy restoring and modifying.I am told after talking to livvy last night stop the press-  Paul has become the owner of the most sought after  example- the race base EK9 type R which is has been located and is waiting shipping from Japan. i will post pics on it’s arrival.
